Wool And Leather Jackets
At Ljackets.com, we are a leading retailer of leather jackets online. In addition to selling the traditional all-leather jackets, we also sell jackets made from wool and leather (alternately known as either varsity jackets or letterman jackets). These are the same jackets worn in high school and college, minus the school affiliation. The breastplate of the jacket is made of wool, with the arms made of leather. Perhaps the most traditional-looking varsity jacket that we sell is the Skipper. The Skipper comes in two color combinations: black/black and black/beige. The shell is made from 22-ounce Melton wool with buffed semi-Nubuck sleeves. The waist and cuffs are crafted from an elasticized acrylic knit. The collar is leather-trimmed and matches the sleeves. There is a heavy-duty brass zipper protected by a storm flap. A slightly more upscale variety is the Coach. With this style, there are a few more color combinations: black/black, hunter/oaktan, navy/oaktan, and gray/black (this last one is $10 more). The shell is the same as the Skipper, but the sleeves are burnished cowhide. The oaktan sleeves are lightly sanded for a super-soft feel. These have two slash pockets and an inside breast pocket as well. The lining is one-inch diamond quilt with polyester fiberfill. Another variety of wool-and-leather jacket is the Plainsman. This jacket is not from the Varsity mold but is instead a jacket for the outdoors lover. The Plainsman is made from 24-ounce Melton wool with a leather collar. The color is a striking hunter green. There are two zipped slash pockets with zipper closures and an inside breast pocket. For further details, feel free to email us at service@ljackets.com or call (866) 552-2538.
